Présence d’une population de Sonneur à ventre jaune, Bombina variegata (Linnaeus, 1758) (Amphibia, Bombinatoridae) à Eckwersheim (France, Bas-Rhin)

Résumé  ̶  Plusieurs observations de Sonneur à ventre jaune, Bombina variegata, ont été faites depuis 2015 dans la zone humide du Judenacker, commune d’Eckwersheim dans le Bas-Rhin. Cette population était jusqu’alors inconnue dans cette localité. Elle est isolée des autres populations du département. L'espèce est notamment absente du massif forestier de Brumath proche du Judenacker. Cette population occupe une zone de prairies humides, de petits bois et de haies classée ZNIEFF. Étant donné son statut et la situation isolée de cette petite population, dont l’indigénat reste à démontrer, sa présence est à prendre en compte dans la gestion du site.

Abstract  ̶ Presence of a population of the yellow-bellied toad, Bombina variegata (Linnaeus, 1758) (Amphibia, Bombinatoridae) at Eckwersheim (France, Bas-Rhin)
Several observations of the yellow-bellied toad, Bombina variegata, have been recorded since 2015 in the wetland of Judenacker, municipality of Eckwersheim, Bas-Rhin (France). This population was hitherto unknown in this locality and it is isolated from the other populations of the region. It is notably absent in the forest of Brumath near the Judenacker. This population is living on wet grasslands, small woodlands and hedgerows that are ZNIEFF classified. Given its status and the isolated situation of this small population, and though its native origin remains to be proven, its presence should be considered in the management of the site.
