Paratrachalas maculatusAbstract -  Paratrachelas maculatus (Thorell, 1875), originally described from Crimea, has a mainly Central European geographic range. However, since the 2000s, the species has also been documented in France, Germany and Austria. In France, only two records support its distribution. Here, I document the first record of the species in the Grand Est region, from 2019 to 2024, near Saverne in the Bas-Rhin department. Currently, a few females have been observed during the winter months. Finally, this small spider remains poorly known and, according to some authors, could show an extension dynamic on its western distribution margin.
