Découverte d’Adelphocoris vandalicus (Rossi, 1790) (Hemiptera, Miridae) en Lorraine (France, Grand Est)
Discovery of Adelphocoris vandalicus (Rossi, 1790) (Hemiptera, Miridae) in Lorraine (northeastern France)
Abstract - This article reports the first records of Adelphocoris vandalicus (Rossi, 1790) in Lorraine (northeastern France), in two towns in the west of the Vosges, in Harmonville and Attignéville. Another observation is also reported in the Haute-Marne, in Autreville-sur-la-Renne. The nymphs were found with a sweep net in the herbaceous layer in thermophilic habitats between 25-VI-2024 and 01-VII-2024. The larval stages are easily recognised by their green body, black legs and black and white antennae. This species was searched for in favourable habitats further north in the following days, but without success. This bug with Mediterranean characteristics seems to be spreading northwards, probably due to climate change and the availability of host plants. In the future, Adelphocoris vandalicus will probably be found further north in the departments of Meuse, Meurthe-et-Moselle and Alsace.
